  • In 2008 and 2010 I launched the websites Logo Design Love and Identity Designed (ID) as a way to share interesting design work and resources. Out of the blue, that led to publishing deals to write and design their accompanying books.

The Logo Design Love book was published in 2009. Translated into thirteen languages, and released as an expanded edition (2014), it’s recommended on college design programmes around the world.

The ID book was published in 2019, and in the words of Adobe’s principal designer, Khoi Vinh, it’s “not just beautifully designed, but also beautiful in its depth and detail about the identity design process.”

My newest book, Identity Designed: The Process, was published in 2024. Using case studies from around the world it covers new ground and different opinions on four key stages of a visual identity project—research, strategy, design, and implementation.

Each of my books were made possible by contributions from people much more talented than me. To them, a huge thank you.
