Prof. Dr. Torsten Eymann is Full Professor of Information Systems at the University of Bayreuth since 2004. He is engaged in a leading position at the Branch Business & Information Systems Engineering Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology FIT and is Deputy Academic Director of the Research Center Finance & Information Management. Since 2015, he is CIO of the University of Bayreuth and spokesman of the CIO-Runde der bayerischen Hochschulen e.V., in which he, for example, helped shape the guidelines for the future development of the IT infrastructure at Bavarian universities. He was also Vice President for Digitalization and Innovation at the University of Bayreuth from 2015 to 2021. From 2013 to 2016, he was spokesperson for the Department of Information Systems at the German Informatics Society (GI). From 2009 to 2015, he was involved as president of the Betriebswirtschaftliches Forschungsinstitut für Fragen der mittelständischen Wirtschaft an der Universität Bayreuth e.V. (BF/M).
